Right to Abolish

Noam Chomsky and others, like myself, agree upon the fact that all the institutions in our society base their legitimacy on their historical existence without acknowledging, that in a so-called democracy, their legitimacy rests on voluntary acceptance of their authority by those who vote. Somehow we all seem to be satisfied with ideas such as; it has always been like this!

"Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government."

The above quote comes from the Declaration of Independence and even though it only applies to the United States of America it should be the rule we all should follow. And the time has come, but how can we unite to defeat our oppressors when our greatest enemies are contentment and laziness?
