Legalize Cannibalism

Today I yet again was faced with that most stupid of arguments against a vegetarian diet: "...we have been doing just that [eating meat] for millions of years..." This is a classic argument against anything really that force us to change our ways. We've had slaves for thousands of years, women have been below men for I don't know how many aeons, we've not been able to fly for x amount of million years... and so on and so fort.

It makes me sick this kind of thinking because it is nothing but a repetative dogma. Blindly we move forward. Deaf we listen to our Bible. Don't get me wrong now. I will eat meat again, I'll do it on the day when Cannibalism becomes legalized, because on that day all will be fair - so keep an eye on your flesh while you sleep. Let's end with the words of George Bernard Shaw:

“If a group of beings from another planet were to land on Earth - beings who considered themselves as superior to you as you feel yourself to be to other animals - would you concede them the rights over you that you assume over other animals?”
